Dawson Creek has always been a place where community matters. Over the years, we’ve been incredibly blessed by faithful donors – some who have quite literally moved on to be with Jesus. Their legacy lives on in the lives changed through Young Life Dawson Creek. They gave monthly. Consistently. Quietly. Faithfully. And it made a world of difference!

We’re here today because of people like that!

But here’s the real talk: we need new people to rise up and carry the torch.

Monthly donors are the foundation of what we do. They allow us to plan, budget, and serve teens week in and week out. Without them, without you, this local mission just isn’t sustainable. This isn’t a scare tactic. It’s the truth!

Young Life Dawson Creek is one of the last 100% free youth programs in the city. We are deeply volunteer-driven, but that doesn’t mean our costs disappear. Insurance, transportation, training, supplies, spaces to meet, even a phone to answer calls from teens – it all adds up. And those bills show up whether the money does or not.

Last year, we were in a financial hole. We fought hard to get out. And thanks to the incredible support from the Peace River Regional District, Electoral Area D, and Leonard Hiebert, we found breathing room (read about it here). But relief is different than stability. It was a lifeline, not a long-term solution.

That’s where you come in.

Whether it’s $5 or $500 a month, becoming a monthly donor helps keep the lights on, the truck running, the Bible studies going, and the doors open for every teen who walks through. Your giving isn’t just financial. It’s eternal!

Think about it this way: if you gave up just two Timmies a week, you could become a $5/month donor. That’s it! That’s all it takes to start changing lives in your own community.
